The Healing
The ache I’ve felt in my soul
The desire to be made whole
The longings that have gone unmet
The pain I want to forget
A Healer I’ve needed and prayed for
The Calmer of the stormy roar
My Hero in difficult battles
The Releaser of chains and shackles
Hope starts to sing once again
He rides on the wings of the wind
The Healer reaches in and holds my heart
Breathes life and healing into every part
The pain and anguish have been soothed
The darkness cries and begins to move
Out of my heart and out of my life
My soul rejoices to find the light
I can stand up again, straight and tall
He holds my hand, lest I fall
I lean on Him, my Healer and Guide
My heavenly Father who will provide
He will keep His promises, they will come true
I will give Him my all, He’ll see me through
The troubling and uncertain times that lie ahead
My heart is now safe, my soul is fed
His fellowship will see me through dark valleys
His presence will brighten lonesome alleys
My heart beats strongly once again
In Him I have a faithful friend
I’m ready to love others and share the truth
My story of pain and healing is the proof
That He’s real and catches every tear
That He heals those who to Him draw near
My heart is ready to do great feats
For His name as He makes me complete
This joy I’ve never known before
This love I will cherish forevermore

Prayer
Lord Jesus, I want to trust you from now on. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of my life. Make me be the person You want me to be. Thank you for enabling me to trust you in these uncertain times. Amen.
Another Sample Prayer:
Dear God, today I bring you my life, my hopes, my dreams, my deepest yearnings … You know me intimately. You knew me even before I was formed in the womb. You called me into this world to do good and live the life I was uniquely and specifically created for. I ask for Courage and Wisdom to live this life–the life of my dreams. Show me where to start and help me be open to hearing your Voice today. I ask for a greater consciousness of your Presence, today and every day of my life. Amen.
