Perfect peace is not partial peace. Perfect peace is complete full, unmixed.

The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ JesusPhilippians 4:7

Perfect peace is not partial peace. Perfect peace is complete full, unmixed. It is “shalom” peace—rich in blessings, well-being, and God’s favor. It is peace of “good health” for the mind, the spirit, and the body. Perfect peace will keep you perfectly peaceful.

You shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight; for the LORD will go before you, and the God of Israel will be your rear guard.”  Isaiah 52:12

God’s peace and calmness are marks of our walk when the Holy Spirit is in control of us—sanctifying our thoughts, guiding our steps, directing our decisions, prompting us to move at the right time, and assuring us that He goes before us.

“Let the peace of God rule in your hearts”  Colossians 3:15

God wants you to move through this day
with a quiet heart,
an inward assurance that He is in control,
a peaceful certainty that your life is in His hands,
a deep trust in His plan and purposes,
an abiding hope in His promises,
and a thankful disposition toward all that He allows.

Let the Lord be the One—you call on: “I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies” Psalm 18:3.

Care will break the rest of the soul as much as sin does. And there is no hope that we should know the peace that passes all understanding till we have learned the art of shutting the door against the long train of burden—carrying thoughts that are always coming up the hill from the world beneath to fill our spirit with the ring of their feet and the clamour of their cries.
-F.B. Meyer

We depend upon the Lord alone to save us. Only he can help us; he protects us like a shield
Psalm 33:20 TLB.

Let the Lord be the One—

You call on: “I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies” Psalm 18:3.

You wait on: “Those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength” Isaiah 40:31.

You feed on: “[Jesus said,] ‘I am the Bread of Life [that gives life—the Living Bread]…I [Myself] am this Living Bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this Bread, he will live forever; and also the Bread that I shall give for the life of the world is My flesh (body)'” John 6:48, 51 AMP.

You depend on: “We depend upon the Lord alone to save us. Only he can help us; he protects us like a shield” Psalm 33:20TLB.

Some great reminders to focus on and get a proper perspective.

You who have done great things; O God, who is like You?” Psalm 71:19

There is no God like our God!
We don’t need to help Him out for He is all-powerful.
We don’t need to give Him solutions for He is all-wise.
We don’t need to give Him explanations for He is all-knowing.
We don’t need to wake Him up for He never slumbers or sleeps.
We don’t need to hope that He will show up for He is always present.
We don’t need to try to figure Him out for His ways are beyond finding out.
We don’t need to make Him weapons of warfare for He knows no defeat.
We don’t need to try to get His attention for His ears are open to our cries

Focus…

Not on the winds of opposition, but on the setting of the sail;
Not on the howling of the storm, but on the voice of the Captain;
Not on the darkness of the sea, but on the lighthouse on the shore;
Not on the density of the fog, but on the true north of the compass;
Not on the restlessness of the waves, but on the anchor that holds steady.

Help us to lean upon You and draw our strength from You. Give us the endurance we need to stand firm, to continue on, to press in, and to press through …

Promise

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us…Romans 5:3-5 NLT

Prayer

Father, I ask You to keep the hearts of my children close to You; keep their thoughts fixed on You; keep their spirits strong in You. May Your grace draw them to Your heart, Your will, Your love—moment by moment, day after day.

Help us to lean upon You and draw our strength from You. Give us the endurance we need to stand firm, to continue on, to press in, and to press through everything and anything that seeks to hinder us, or sidetrack us, from following Your plan and doing Your will.

May we always have keen vision to watch out for the attacks from the devil—to resist his temptations; to reject his lies; to refuse his condemnation; to refuse his accusations.

I pray that when my children are carrying burdens they would learn to cast them upon You; when they are anxious they would depend upon Your promises; when they become discouraged their hope would be renewed. Assure them today, Father, how dearly You love them.

Take “I can’t” out of your vocabulary, and replace it with “God can!”

Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you1 Peter 5:6-7

Be full of confidence not in yourself or what you can do, but in the Lord and what He can do. Your life, once given to Him, is in His hands, not yours. Live in His strength, not yours. Depend on His resources, not your own.

Do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward.” Hebrews 10:35.

How do you cast your care on Him?

  • Get out your “fishing pole of faith.”
  • Tie a hook to the line of your fishing pole.
  • Take all your cares and put them on a hook.
  • Cast the line as far as you can into the sea of God’s faithfulness.
  • Cut the line and leave them out there.

Take “I can’t” out of your vocabulary, and replace it with “God can!”

Thoughts by Men thoughts by Roy Lessin

I thank You for the exceeding greatness of Your life, Your love, and Your power toward me today.

Jesus, l believe You are my victor. I turn my attention away from every distraction and every foe you have defeated. I proclaim Your victory over my life. You are the victor over sin, over the world, over death, and over all the power of the enemy. I have no flag to fly but Your banner, no anthem to sing but Your hosanna, no sword to use but Your word.

You reign supreme! Your kingdom has brought me deliverance from this evil age.
Your overcoming promises keep me from being overwhelmed.
Your rod and staff assure me You are in control.
You are my life, I live through You.
You are my strength, I lean on You.
You are my peace, I rest in You.
You are my King, I yield to You.
You are my Counselor, I listen to You.
You are my Shepherd, I follow You.

I thank You for the exceeding greatness of Your life, Your love, and Your power toward me today.

This is the victory that has overcome the world-our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.” 1 John 5:4-5

“I entreated Your favor with my whole heart.”  Psalm 119:58 (NKJV)

Father, thank You for the blessing of Your favor upon my life! Thank You that Your blessings come to me abundantly, unexpectedly, delightfully— like showers from heaven, like the dew upon dry ground, like rivers flowing through a thirsty land. Your blessings are mine through Your promises, by Your Spirit, and in Your Son, through whom I have become an heir of all that heaven has to give.

Thank You for all Your favors—the joys of Your holiness, the touch of Your gentleness, the sweetness of Your nearness, the care of Your kindness, the grace of Your loveliness. Thank You for opening doors that no one could shut, for saying “no” to pathways that would have led me away from Your will, for Your amazing timing, and for the people You brought into my life to pray, to help, and to encourage me in my walk with You.

Thank You for surrounding me with Your favor as a protection; with Your glory as an adornment; with Your wisdom as words of life; with Your generosity as a gift of goodness; with Your blessings as a downpour of joy.

Thank You for the way You influence my heart, draw my spirit, and delight my soul. Your gracious generosity will keep me forever grateful!

Children grow and thrive under the blessing of God.

Jesus, “Took the children in His arms and placed His hands on their heads and blessed them.” Mark 10:16 NLT

God loves to bless the lives of children, and we have the awesome privilege of extending the blessing of God to each child we know. Your words can speak the blessing of God, your hands can impart the blessing of God, your heart can express the blessing of God. As you ask God to bless the children near you, you are asking for His best, His highest and His greatest good for their lives.

Children grow and thrive under the blessing of God. As you bless the children around you they will hear words of hope, encouragement and support. Prayers of blessing will not beat them down, but build them up; will not hurt them, but heal them; will not weaken them, but strengthen them; will not lead them astray, but help them follow the good God has for their lives.

Thoughts by Men thoughts by Roy Lessin

Jesus, You are the Way and You are the way-maker. I will follow You as You go before me and prepare the way for what is ahead in Your plan.

I know that You will see to every detail so that what needs to be done will already be done before I arrive…the path revealed, the direction confirmed, the way established. I trust in You to unlock the doors that need to be opened, loosen the things that need to be untied, and remove the hindrances that need to be taken away.

I ask You to provide for all that is needed as I walk along your appointed path. Open my eyes to see the way You are leading, give me the understanding to take the right steps, strengthen me with the patience to move at the right pace, and work within my words and actions to say and do things in the right way.

I trust in You to do what no one else can do, to work in ways that no one else can work, and to do the wonders that no one else can perform. Lord, I thank You that You will make a way!

The LORD shall give that which is good…Righteousness shall go before Him; and shall set us in the way of His steps. Psalm 85:12-13 (KJV)

Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you. Deuteronomy 31:8 (NLT)

I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them. Isaiah 42:16 (NIV)

Father, I thank You for being the God of every blessing, the fount of every joy, and the source of everything good. I know it is in Your heart to bless the lives of Your children, and as Your child, I desire Your blessing upon my life. Thank You that Your blessings enrich my life, leave me without sorrow, bring me the treasures of Your grace, and express all the kindness of Your favor.

Thank You, Father, that Your blessings abound to me in Christ, they are mine freely because of the great price He paid. I thank You that because I am in Him, You have showered upon me every blessing that heaven could possibly give.

I receive Your blessings for this day as I walk with You—I ask for Your hand to cover me, Your power to keep me, Your face to shine upon me, Your love to fill me, Your strength to sustain me, and Your sufficiency to be my portion in every need I face. I ask You to bless the work of my hands as I serve You in your appointed place.

Father, I desire above all, the greatest blessing of all, the blessing of Your daily presence. My relationship with You means everything! I cannot live in the poverty of not knowing You. I want to know and love You more—to walk with You, break bread with You, speak my heart to You, and respond to You as I hear Your voice, see Your smile, and sense Your pleasure.

Father, bless me and make me a blessing.

He Holds You

God never leaves you alone…
He never forgets about you…

He looks out for you and takes care of you.
You are more important than the birds
He feeds and provides for.

Trusting Him means to rest in Him
as your shield, your covering, your provider,
your defender and your friend.

It means freedom from worry, anxiety and fear.
It means peace to your mind and joy to your soul.

Come to Him; He is waiting…
Lean on Him; He is strong…
Talk to Him; He is listening…
Depend on Him; He will never let you down.

He holds you within the hollow of His hands
to keep you close…to keep you safe…
to deliver you from all your fears.

From: From God’s Heart to Yours: In His Hands.

If you don’t know Jesus in a personal way you can begin a relationship with him today. The first step is a prayer telling him you believe He is who He says He is and a second step is surrendering control of your will and life to him.  These can be communicated in a simple prayer (prayer is talking to God):

“Lord Jesus, I need You. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of the throne of my life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be.”

If this prayer expresses the desire of your heart, then you can pray this prayer right now and Christ will come into your life, as He promised.

If you prayed this prayer we would love to hear from you . If you would like to know God deeper we can connect you with an email mentor and/or send you some great links.

“I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.” Matthew 28:20 (KJV)

Jesus is with you!

When will He be with you? He will be with you always.
How long will He be with you? He will be with you until the world ends.
As long as the world is here and as long as you are in it, you can be absolutely, positively certain that He is with you.
This is His promise to you.

And best of all, when you get to heaven, Jesus will no longer need to promise to be with you, because in heaven, you will be with Him forever!

Thoughts by Men thoughts by Roy Lessin

BE – God, I say ‘yes’ to You. I choose to allow Your way to shape me and Your will to direct me in what is best. I surrender instead of resist, I yield instead of fight, I believe instead of doubt.

STILL – Father, may Your rest abide and Your peace abound within me. Quiet all anxiety that troubles my thoughts and unsettles my emotions. I bring my soul under the control of the Holy Spirit; I stand steady upon the unmovable foundations of Your kingdom; I receive the sufficiency of Your grace and the encouragement of Your promises as you calm my soul.

AND KNOW – Lord, thank you that Your word is sure, unchanging, and indisputable. Your word is true. I am certain. You have saved me from guessing, wondering, wishing, or pretending. I know! I believe!

I AM GOD – You are who You say You are. You do what You say You do. There is no other! You are the highest, the greatest, the best. You have no weakness, no lack, and no equal. You are my God, and my Heavenly Father. I find comfort in Your nearness, security in Your voice, courage in Your strength, hope in Your promises. You are enough. More than enough! You are with me. You are my refuge. I am safe in Your care.

“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge.” Psalm 46:10-11

“But godliness with contentment is great gain.” 1 Timothy 6:6

Walking in Rest!
Contentment is satisfaction with the place God has you at the present.

It is freedom from covetousness and from the feeling of having to have “a little bit more” in order to be happy. It delivers from greed and from the stress that comes in trying to lay up  treasures on earth. Contentment says that God has been good to me…that He will not fail me…that He knows what is best. A contented life has learned to go without instead of going into debt…has learned to wait for God’s time instead of moving in haste….has learned to hold all things with an open hand instead of a clenched fist. Contentment seeks His kingdom first and trusts God to add all that is needed.
