From a Survivor

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10 (NIV)

Victoria Johnson was only eight years old when she was repeatedly abused by her own father.

She represents just one of the 39 million here in the U.S. who’ve survived sexual abuse.

In high school Victoria joined the chorus, where God placed a friend in her life.  The girl’s father pastored a local church.  One Sunday he invited the school choir to sing.  And this was the moment Victoria’s life began to change!  God’s word was a soothing touch to her troubled heart.  That day she prayed and invited Christ into her life.  This was her first step to becoming more than a survivor!  Victoria was transformed!  Old things passed away—all things becoming new!

God’s Word says, “For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, “Do not fear; I will help you.

Victoria Johnson is the founder of PICI, Protecting Innocent Children, Inc., a nonprofit ministry to sexually abused children and their families: www.protectinginnocentchildren.org
And also the author of Children and Sexual Abuse.
