Spiritual Fitness

By Vonette Bright

Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,
Hebrews 12:1

Everyone would like to be fit…
Physically, mentally, emotionally, directionally, and nutritionally.
But the most important part of this five-pointed star is the center…  Spiritually fit.
If you leave that out, there’s a hole in your goal!

Gail worked hard at becoming fit.
But she grew exhausted trying to live life in her own power.
Then a teammate showed Gail there was a hole in her fitness goal!  Gail admitted that she needed Christ and invited Him to take control of her life.  Finally, her fitness goal was total and complete.

Friend, make Christ the center of your fitness plan.
Throw off the weight of self,
stretch your mind daily by reading the Bible,
and run to God in prayer.  Then you really will be a STAR!
