Dear Partners,
Last night, the sun was an orange/red color. The wind had blown the smoke from the wild fires north of us, to the Valley where we live. The sun looked kind of eerie. Our weather changes often, but I don’t recall ever seeing the sun this color.
It made me think about the many changes that we experience in our lifetime, not only in the weather, but changes in family, home locations, churches, friends, careers, political leaders, health and many more. Our lives are constantly changing.
But the Lord does not change! “I am the LORD, and I do not change.” Malachi 3:6. The fact that the Lord doesn’t change makes me feel so secure. His love for us doesn’t change, His desire for all people to know Him doesn’t change. “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9.
The team of Thoughts About God is so grateful that He keeps bringing in the resources so that we can keep on reaching and teaching people worldwide. We are grateful that He shows us ways to be more effective in our efforts to reach more people. In July over 1,200 people wrote to us indicating that they made a decision to receive Christ and another 521 rededicated their lives to Him and/or prayed to be filled with the Holy Spirit. He is so good to allow us to be part of what He is doing.
“The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.” 1 Thessalonians 5:24

I must say I am always encouraged by the devotions emailed to me. I have been fighting the sin of porn addiction, greed and a bad heart for so many years! I once fasted, prayed and read the Bible, but I have come to realize that I was doing all that in vain. Mine heart was far from the ‘author and perfector’ of my soul- I was leaning on my own strength. After reading this post, I have felt relieved and now I am going to trust and let God take full control of my life.
