Don’t Give Up - Daily Thoughts about God

“Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NIV)

My husband told the story of an elderly man who had been wicked all his life.
His wife knew Christ and prayed for her husband many, many years.
With no apparent hope of his ever coming to Jesus, the man’s wife still remained faithful in prayer.

She trusted God’s promises and believed He would do the impossible.
In the twilight years of his life, the man finally prayed to ask Jesus into his heart.
And he died with the name of Jesus on his lips.

Oh, dear one, do you know someone who needs Jesus, but is seemingly impossible to reach?
Does it appear to you that there’s no hope? Well, don’t give up!
Don’t be discouraged! Trust in God’s timing.
He will answer your prayer in His special way and at His special time.
