Seeing Possibilities

by Vonette Bright

Trust the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.”  Proverbs 3:5&6

Penny said, “I can’t do it.  I can’t perform with a broken heart.
Penny McCoy was an avid skier.  At 16, she became the youngest ever to win a World Championship bronze medal.  Two years later, she was on her way to France for the 1968 Winter Olympics.

Disappointedly she was replaced by another skier.  But she lost more than a chance for a medal.  Penny lost her self-esteem.  She made many bad decisions after that.  However, they led her to examine her faith in God.  Penny discovered she was missing a relationship with Him.

When she turned her life over to God, her self-confidence grew.
She was able to become the skier God created her to be.

Dear friend, trust Christ with your life.  He will free you to become the person you were meant to be.
